I am an emerging artist rediscovering myself through art. I have always had a passion for creating. I even went to art school for a year. But, then I started to listen to society's ideas of what a successful woman looked like. I tried to fit in to the standards of others. I put down the pencil; I put down the paint brush; and I began to mimic what a "woman's role" should look like. I began seeking that "traditional" career, the husband, the family. Before I knew it, I had lost myself. I became someone who I wasn't.

 When I got pregnant with my son, I was terrified. I new there was no turning back. The life I wanted, deep down, was drifting further and further away. Or so I thought! I was raising my son to be his own individual self. There was one problem, I wasn't practicing what I preached.

 I turned to yoga and I learned to shed old habits, traumas, and instilled beliefs, I am now tapping into my truth. I am finding my voice. That voice is best expressed through art. So, here I am...putting the real me out there for all to see.
