Isabel Hendrix is a mixed media artist in Melbourne, Fl. She uses collage and other found objects to create a bold textured base for her vibrant colored paintings. Isabel is not afraid to use unconventional materials and this often times gives the viewer a surprise once they look closer. Isabel’s work often focuses on color and texture.
In this piece, “Veiled” the artists worked with gold leaf to help achieve many layers super rich tones throughout. As a victim of domestic violence Isabel also explored themes of rejection, loss, and disappointment while having to maintain a certain perfect or golden image.
