Some of my earliest memories of childhood include drawing at my grandmother's house during summer vacations - I was so excited by the colorful assortment of crayons and the little still life arrangements she would  set up for me. This passion for creating continued all through my school years until college when I realized it had to be my life and career choice. I don't believe I ever consciously decided to be an artist, rather, art chose me.

I am greatly influenced by Andrew Wyeth whose paintings of people, places and things evoke a sense of mystery and timelessness. He believes “if you really love something enough it will eventually work it's way down through your arm and onto the canvas.” I so enjoy the world around me that I try to interpret and express it with my drawings and paintings.

My art work is a response to the beauty I find in nature, a method to tell a story and a way to feel emotionally connected with both my subject and the observer.
