Traci Ruiz has lived in the Tampa Bay area for the past fourty years. After a twenty year break from college to raise and home school her twins, she just completed her bachelor of Arts at the University of South Florida in Studio Art with an emphasis in painting. She plans to begin her masters degree in the fall.

She currently works as an interpreter for the deaf and part-time with the non-profit, Arts4All where she is an artist in residence teaching art to challenged students. Traci enjoys working in mixed media and collage. She uses a nonprinting process to make the patterned papers, then she cuts or tears the paper creating unique and intricate collage art pieces.
